In an effort to make sure that our 2012 blog is complete...meaning that most all the pictures we've snapped this year are included...I am going to be posting each day this week until all pictures are uploaded. I don't like to save a lot. I feel like I already have too much "stuff" so I've decided to take photos and then toss them. Following are some of my most recent photos of things I LOVE but truly don't have a place to save them.

This is a letter I wrote to my Grandma & Grandpa Ranney when I was about 8. It was fun for the kids to see that I was actually this small once and that I had horrible spelling.:)
|
My Mom always told me to ask them to correct my spelling and send the letter back to me. I always thought that was because she had given up on teaching me to spell correctly (I am a really poor speller) but now I see that she was killing two birds with one stone. Spelling AND creating a back and forth letter writing relationship between myself and my grandparents. Thanks Mom, once again, for the good example.

Of course, these notes are precious. They are sometimes few and far between these days..I seem to get the brunt of her frustrations (which is totally okay with me) so when I get this note I do a little happy dance. Plus, look at the size of me..talk about an ego booster.:)

I don't know if the dimension of this craft shows in a photo. It's a kind of a diorama, the part with the buttons in on the bottom(kindof a cobblestone street) and then the part with the two kids is folded up as a backdrop. Her 3 dimensional person is made out of pipe cleaners. This was a project for libbie's class. Gavin and Libbie have been doing so well in school lately. They get all A's, and they sincerly do it all on their own. If they need help it's simply to get them supplies for projects. I love that they want to do it ALL by themselves...and they do. Kudos to you kiddos!!
