Ranney kids reunion - day 2

Saturday was a full day from sun up to sun down.  We started with a serious game of kick-ball at the park, followed by lots of water at the water park.  Uncle Marty was the only adult that braved the water with the kids.
A serious Elle getting ready to kick the ball -- I think she was getting coaching by both Mimi and Papa Bruce.
Gavin trying to tag Aunt Paige out.

Kickball is a great family game!!

After kickball in the desert you have to go play in the water at the water park!
After lunch we all spent time in the Casa de Eborn Pool.  It's fun for kids to swim with their grandparents!  The kids seem to get so excited when an adult gets in the pool.
Papa Bruce and Uncle Marty solving the worlds problems.

Papa Sweet and Elle

Aunt Kenna - not quite sure what that pose is -- but she's beautiful none the less.:)

Aunt Paige (specifically requested a head shot only) She was a trooper with her 4 month pregnant belly!
Soon after Libbie was in charge of making sure everyone made their own crown(and boy did she take that job seriously.)  We were getting ready to go to the "Tournament of the Kings" downtown -- so of course, we needed our crowns.
Mimi and Gavin working hard on their royalty crowns
Just before we left we had our own tournament of the kings with "airsoft" guns.  This was added specifically for Garrett since he had just bought his own gun.
"Lord Maximus" and "Paige" getting ready for their own tournament of Kings.
We finished up the reunion with a GREAT time at the Tournament of the Kings.
We had front row seats in the "France" section -- royalty at it's best.

A handsome Philip with crazy eyes/hair girl  (I only posted this one becuase it proves Philip was at  the reunion -- I realized while posting this that we don't have any pics of him.)

Mimi Kenna and Elle -- cheers!

Aunt Paige and Uncle Marty - before the festivities

Mimi and Papa Sweet -- getting ready to rumble!

The boys absolutely wouuld not humor me (they "accidentally" left their crowns in the car) but here they are with their "Dragon juice"  They LOVED the show!

We all decided that the King of France was definitly the cutest King.  Plus, he won!

Seriously cute queens!! ( might I note that Elle decided that Kenna's crown should say "Princess Kenna" and Elle's should say "Queen Elle" - I think she's on to something:))

Yes, this picture should have been first but I am too tired to change it -- the kids put a lot of work into coloring these letters.

I didn't put a lot of work into our "family tree" but I thought it was important to put faces with names so I made a very small and simple family tree for the grandkids to see (turns out it was helpful for my sisters too:))  On Friday we had a nice gathering time where we told a story from Papa Bruces family and a story from Mimi's family.  It was very simple but so good to hear different stories that we didn't know about.

It was so much fun! A special thanks to my family for making the extra effort to come - it meant the world to me (and our kids were pretty darn happy about the whole event as well!)
