I got to celebrate another year of my life for a few days last week. I am not one that loves to sit around lonely -- so I decided to throw myself a birthday "party." The night before my birthday I invited a few friends and their children over to swim. That pool is coming in handy for get togethers.:) It was very low key - the kids played and we chatted. My Dad couldn't believe how much we talked...lol.

The next day Philip was able to come home for a bit so we all headed to lunch at Lucilles (my new favorite bbq place) and then home for a yummy cake that Dad and Libbie picked up the night before.

| These two took care of getting me a few gifts and getting the cake. Apparently, Libbie took the reins in the whole shopping spree and dad just followed and paid the bill. Good job Libs! |

It was a great couple of days spent with some great people!!

Looks like you had a great birthday...so happy for you! I can't believe I'm the mother of a 40 year old AND a 38 year old! Yikes!!!!! Kenna just told me you guys are coming the last week in July...maybe I'll have figured out a present by then!
Your dad is so cute. He was a good sport to "host" those talkative guests! Did you tell him, it's just that we're getting all our problems out and solved in one night? :) Thanks for having us-it was a GREAT birthday party!
