I love our children so much. They are all so different - from each other and from Philip and I. I am proud to be called their Mother and I hope that I can live my life in a way that will allow me to be inspired as how to help them. I truly believe there is no other way to parent them than with Divine intervention.
At womens conference I listened to a Woman give a talk about her son being out of the country and needing his appendix to be taken out. She felt helpless being so far away. She prayed to her Heavenly Father that he would help her son and she said she felt a very strong response telling her "Of course I will, he's My son too"
Those words keep ringing in my ears. "Of course I will help you, he's my son too." I know the Lord wants to help us raise our children the right way. I hope I can honor Him in helping him to raise His child.
Of course, there is always help here on earth too. What would I do without this man? He is such a wonderful husband and father to all of us. We are truly blessed to have Philip in our lives.
Today, being Mother's Day, our family was supposed to have our annual Mothers Day picnic. We moved to the desert so we could get warmth and once again, we didn't know about the WIND. It was so windy today it almost blew us all over just walking from the church to the car. The picnic was quickly cancelled -- but Philip still had the pasta salad ready to go as soon as we got home.
I told him today -- if we had all the money on the earth, all I ever want for Mother's Day is homemade cards and yummy husband-made pasta salad on a picnic (weather permitting) It sure makes for the best Mother's Day ever!
~I have to add this....as I was about to post this -- he just brought me my dessert in bed! See, told you he was great!:)
