good family time

 We had a great weekend filled with family time.  Friday night we had a great time at The Lion King.  It was an amazing production.  I've heard it called a "moving stage" and boy was it!  The stampede scene when Mufasa dies is amazing.....along with many other ingenious ideas for a production set in the African Desert.  I'm glad there are people out there who have minds that are so inventive -- our family enjoyed their hard work. 
The boys thought they wouldn't like the show but they were surprised and both really enjoyed it.  Libbie, of course, was on the edge of her seat the whole time.  We loved it!

I know these pics are awful.  I really need to get a camera, but for now, the good old iphone will have to do.

Saturday at Target I found this great find.  Silly,  yes -- but I have been trying to find a card table with chairs that isn't an arm and a leg.  The reason I wanted one is for puzzles.  We are always trying to find something that we can say "yes" to instead of "no TV, no Wii, no running, yelling -- etc"  So I thought ....if we had a puzzle set up and we need them to settle down but we don't want them to watch TV -- an option could be a family puzzle we are working on. 

Anyway, I found this table at Target on Saturday -- it was a "repackage" so it was marked down 50% -- just because some woman bought it that morning and returned it that afternoon.  What a blessing!!  Now we have a puzzle table (I'm sure it will be used for many other things too:))

Of course, I had already bought the puzzle when I thought of the idea -- so Sunday morning we all sat down to do the puzzle.  We got caught up in it and were almost late to church -- I think we'll like family puzzles.

All in all -- a great weekend with some good family time.
