BYU Young Ambassadors

We got to bundle up last night and head to an outdoor concert.  Any other night this week would have been perfect...but last night was cold.  Okay, for those of you in the bitter cold...no it wasn't cold.  But it gets really windy here and it cuts through you.  We had lots of blankets, hats, gloves and hot cocoa and we barely made it through.:)  The show was really great though -- great message and great performance.
We had great seats and are excited to go to more outdoor concerts there when it's a bit warmer.

After the "stars" came out to chat with us...my phone flash is a bit out of control -- sorry to this nice girl about her eyes.
After the show, we got to host two of the cast.  One band member, Brandt and one performer, Spencer.  (I didn't get a photo) They were very respectful and great house guests for the 12 hours they were here.  We fed them breakfast and sent them on their way with a sack lunch.  Their off for the next 9 days of their tour.  It was a great show and a great opportunity to serve.
After they left we found this on the bed.  A thank you letter and a BYU Pez dispenser.  Libbie can't stop talking about "Spencer" the star of the show and how he stayed at HER house.:)

What a nice way to show your children kindness to others. I'm
sure the concert was really good.
Glad it wasn't tooo cold for you.
Last night we got 6 inches of snow,
I know we live where that's the
norm, I'm really ready for spring
and it is only the last of Feb.
I guess I'm feeling my old age
wanting warm weather. I bought a
skirt with the gift certificate you
gave me for my birthday, thanks again.

Love to all, Mom

What a nice opportunity to serve others...and great icing on the cake to go see their performance! Things like that are always great as far as I'm concerned...even if it is cold (kind of like the fireworks in July in Bayfield:)
