24 pounds of strawberries part 2

Tonight Libbie and I put our aprons to good use (notice my cute apron -- Trina Larson made it for me and had all my friends from Layton sign it -- a treasure!)
We finally got all of our jam made.  My children are officially happy with me again.  They really don't like store bought jam and I really haven't made any for a year or so (let the record show that I purchased the strawberries three times and failed miserably at getting it done)
So -- tonight -- I'm tops on their list again.  Libbie is happy with me because she had her "First cooking lesson" that she's been begging for and the boys are happy because they get their sugar jam.

My girls are the same way! They hate the store bought jam and love my homemade jam, but I haven't been able to make it because the strawberries have been too expensive. By the way, love your new home and especially your kitchen!

Yummy and fun all at the same time. Hard to beat that.

Save a spoonful or two for us.

Love ya'll,

Grandpa Bart

Libbie! Save Aunt Rene some, you have a great mom to give you "cooking lessons". I know you will take good notes and be wanting to make your own jam soon.

Love you!

mmm,mmm...I have great memories of your homemade strawberry jam! I think you inherited talents from both your grandmothers. Grandma Ranney was the one who taught me how to make it years ago but mine never did taste as good as hers:)! So happy you got your lesson early in life, Libbie. Now you just get to practice!
