Sunday Stuff

We got to church late today -- a good 10-15 minutes late. They had already started passing the sacrament so we waited in the hall. When we had to wait Gavin asked..."why are we out here, are we in trouble?" I love kids comments. Philip spoke in church and gave a great talk on finding joy in the gospel. He spoke of how we need to better ourselves by following Christ. He said we need to be better Husbands, Wife's, Parents, and stewards to the Lord because we know it's right, not because others are watching. We will find more joy as we serve for the right reasons. I couldn't agree more.

We came home to tons of snow that had dumped all night and morning. The kids and I got our snow gear on and headed out.
We always say...

the family that works together.....

...plays together!!

The view from our house...it's beautiful -- Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

and really, how could you not love this face. Maybe I shouldn't have touched up the hot cocoa mustache.

I LOVE our view of the mountains here!! We came home from Ogden and found our driveway cleared, so nice. Keep them helping while they'll do it with a smile. Someday, they'll hide under their blankets and pretend they didn't hear you!

Your family is so cute! I couldn't agree more about Phil's talk. It was exactly what I needed to hear and I really enjoyed it.

Looks cold in Layton too. I guess so long as you bundle up like Eskimos you can still enjoy it, at least kids can. We were taking care of Justin and Chalisa's kids while they were at the funeral on Saturday. I decided to go out and shovel Justin's driveway for them while they were gone. Ethan came out and wanted to help and play in the snow. When we were ready to go back inside, he said: "This is the happiest day of my life." It's all a matter of perspective.

Clint has been disappointed because we haven't had much snow accumulation yet...looks like he can enjoy it at your house! I love the view of your mountains too...it always inspires me when I'm there...to imagine what is behind all the corners and in the canyons:)! It's snowing now and supposed to keep on for the next few days and it's cold so maybe we'll get a little bit on the ground too! Of course, I don't have any grandkids to shovel with me tho! (Not much shoveling to do around here tho...just a few places.

is that what he was talking about? i wasn't really paying attention...
anyhow, i'm kinda jealous about the snow; my brothers didn't want to go outside, and frankly, i was too lazy to go anyway...i'm glad you had fun!

How fun! Snow!! My girls are dying to play in the snow. If it's going to be cold, it's more fun with snow. Unless you have to drive in it. Thanks for your christmas card. Love Libbie's hat
