You might remember the quilt I posted on here last Spring that I made for my Dad out of his late wife's (Maggie's) clothes. This is the second of the group I am trying to make. This is a quilt that was made for Libbie. I really can't take much credit for this one. Michelle to the rescue, again, did a lot of it. I really am learning though. I have two more that are for the boys for Christmas almost done as well.

The large embroidered square is made of one of her skirts, the black velvet is a skirt and the turquoise with ribbon is one of her skirts.

I had it machine quilted and the purple is the back, as per Libbie's request. Libbie LOVES it and I am really excited she has a memory of Maggie that she can keep forever.

Looks like a great addiction in terms of an addiction. Looks wonderful.
Talent in the making- awesome! I love the colors. Can't wait to see the boys' quilts. Maybe I skip a few more meals(ha!) and make one for my boys again. - not on the list for a while- but a thought!
Looks soooo good! I agree with the addiction part, I can't wait to finish mine so I can start another. I thought of our quilts on Sunday when Jeni RIngler was talking about creating and taking unorganized matter and making something with it.
Libbie's is BEAUTIFUL Megan... I knew it would be though..you had great fabics to work with. I just think the original idea to do these quilts was an inspired one. Now not only will the kids have something to help them remember Maggie but you will have a new skill which I'm sure will develop more and more over time...Grandma Ranney is so proud of you! (Actually I am too:)!
