Gemini's rock!

I am, and forever will be, the true meaning of a Gemini.

The Twins
May 22 to June 21

Traditional Gemini traits:
Adaptable and versatile
Communicative and witty
Intellectual and eloquent
Youthful and lively

On the dark side....

Nervous and tense
Superficial and inconsistent
Cunning and inquisitive

You might think I'm crazy -- and if you do, I honestly don't mind anymore!:) But, I've always felt two different personalities in me. I usually fall under the positive traits above. But don't get me going -- cuz when I do -- the "dark side" traits pop right out!! Just ask my Mom and my husband, plus a select few neighbors -- Candace and Brittany -- you know who you are:)...darn bike riding instructions!!!:) I'd hope I've eliminated superficial at this point in my life, but who knows? It may show it's ugly head one day again.

I got home from volunteering from Gavin's Kindergarten class today and the craving hit me...and it hit me HARD. I WANT Mexican food. I'd been craving Mexican for a few days now(in Park City we opted for Red Rock Brewery and boy was that a mistake!!) As I walked in the house Philip was just putting away some turkey lunch meat. My heart sunk! I thought I could have conned him into going to lunch with me. Well, I'd at least try -- after all it was a HUGE craving I was having. Chips and salsa and a yummy REAL tamale. His wrap he made on my low carb tortilla wasn't sitting well anyway, so we headed off to Subway. (He was SURE we didn't have time to go get sit-down Mexican before Libbie got out of preschool) FYI - -this was all part of my ploy to get him out of the house. We drove closer to Subway & I said...c'mon, let's just go to Mexican. MAN, that guy is the BEST pushover I've ever met. The car magically turned right and headed for Garcia's. YAHOO!!! We both decided Javier's would be faster and we both love their chips and salsa. 2 baskets of chips and salsa, a tamale, a beef burrito, and 2 cheese enchiladas -- we were satisfied!!!

The only thing that could have made my awesome lunch with my husband any better was a free rose from Jimmy's.
OHMYGOSH -- they had my name on the marquee. After 7 years of anxiously wondering whose name would be on the marquee when I turned onto Hillfield -- TA DA it was my name. I'll tell you what, it was well worth the 12 minutes it took to stand in line and claim my FREE ROSE!!! Libbie and I are "sharing" it because she liked it so much. Shh! Don't tell her it's really MINE.:)

So, why the Gemini mumbo jumbo?? You see, I love food...I really love food. I love it soo much that I had a conversation with Philip at lunch about WHY we wouldn't have food in the Celestial Kingdom. To his man brain it was so simple -- to my hormonal starving body, I couldn't comprehend it. Gemini? Yes, I fight between my love of food (fattening food) and my love for a good healthy lifestyle. I will always fight it --- and believe me, this is just a surface contradiction in me -- I'll have to tell you more later when we know each other better!:)

my oldest daughter is a gemini, I think it is a wonderful sign to be born under! and I LOVE javier's cheese enchiladas and congrats on the free rose! whenever I see that sign I wonder if I would really go in if it were my name. Now I will...thanks! (if it's ever my name...)

Hey I just wanted to say thanks for your nice comment on my blog. I loved hearing your hiking insights. It does seem like sometimes things just don't sink in, but I do think things like that will be great memories for our kids. You inspired me to stick with it...they'll be thankful, and so will I!

Oh, and I forgot to say anything about what you said about my parents...I'm so glad they could be an inspiration. They sure are to me!!

Although I am not a gemini, I could relate to some of the traits. But I agree on the Mexican food. When I am wanting to go out to dinner, I know if I suggest Mexican Brent will jump at the chance to go. Hey, we, Brent and I, went to a great Mexican restaurant in Roy the other night and I tried a great Torta. Never had one before, but just the thought makes me want to go back and get another....let me know when you want to go...lol!

Shawni -- thought it was great that when I sent my Mom a link to your cruise pics so she could check out the latest and greatest Linda and Richard Eyre -- she says "thanks for the link. So good to see old friends and their children all grown up." They were her "friends" during her raising children alone years.:)
And thanks for responding -- I love your pics on your blog -- they make me want a better camera!!:)

I'm a fellow Gemini(June
14th...34...ahhhh!) and have never really thought much about it. Maybe I should. It could explain some of my multiple personalities. Oh, and yes you can put a link to my blog. I don't really know what that means but I trust you girl.:)
