2nd Grade Celebration

"A friend is one who knows us and loves us anyway."

Garrett had something to celebrate today -- he is finishing 2nd Grade this year -- wahoo!!:) He has worked very hard this year. His reading went from grade level to far above grade level. He was awarded a "science enthusiast and great reader" award. He got first place in the school science fair. We are VERY proud of all of his accomplishments -- and for just being HIM! The second grade program reminded me of how much they mature from Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Once again, our baby is growing up!

Garrett had two WONDERFUL teachers this year; Mrs. Stenquist and Mrs. Williams.

Pretty much the BEST self-portrait I've ever seen!

Great Job Garrett! Great job to you too Megan...I know how much extra time and effort you put in to help Garrett with his academic work. You are seriously one of the best Mothers I know. Garrett is a fun kid and he will do great in 3rd grade!
P.S. How are you? Shall we chat on the ringer some time soon :)

YUP, my Dad is here and so I'm spending good quality time with him. I'll call you when the dust settles. My kids asked him this morning if he could stay until Summe was over -- "or until Christmas?" :) I'm not sure he's going for it.:)

Garrett is lucky to have had Mrs. Williams! She grew up in my hometown and is a wonderful person from a wonderful family. I wish she taught 2nd grade at our school! I agree, 2nd grade is a big year...they "grow up" alot...

My first grandchild growing up so fast...but it's so exciting to learn all the new things as you go! Sure do love you always and it's great to hear that you are the class scientist (or something like that:)
