The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.
~e.e. Cummings
What makes me laugh out loud? I've been thinking about this a lot. First of all, I don't laugh enough. I surely need to laugh more. That is one of the things I look up to my Mom for -- she laughs at EVERYTHING! If I want to feel good about my stories I just give her a call -- she makes me feel like a stand-up comic, every time.:) I think I have a pretty dry sense of humor -- and I'm pretty dang sarcastic...don't get me going -- I usually bring the conversation down a few notches.:) In my contemplating, I came up with a few things that make me laugh out loud:
1. Garrett's literal thinking -- Man that kids cracks me up!!! He says the funniest things. The other day he said something out loud and then he says "Oh, did I just say that? That was supposed to stay in my thought bubble." Funny kid!
2. Gavin's laugh when he was 2 and 3 -- Gavin used to have this GREAT belly laugh -- you couldn't listen to him without laughing along with him!
3. Angie Smith! That girl can make my cheeks hurt -- she is soooo funny! Can't think of anything off hand Ang -- but we gotta chat more -- I need a good laugh.
4. Candace telling me about her Mommy "moments" the other night. It's crazy funny what those kids will make you turn into!
5. Jason and Rene's family -- now that's a funny family!
6. Funny moments that I remember -- they are ALWAYS funnier in retrospect. Like Angie B and I in the Arctic Circle parking lot this winter -- now THAT was funny!
7. When Philip walked through the screen door in AZ -- great memory!!
8. The GRAND FINALE was our Christmas 2007 trip to AZ. We were like Mary and Joseph trying to find a room at the inn -- only Philip isn't Joseph and I'm not Mary and we already had 3 kids and thank heavens I wasn't pregnant....but you get the picture! It was one of the "worst storms in history," we couldn't get to our hotel, it was already 1 AM, no snow plows out, I think we even "walked up hill both ways!":) Needless to say, by the time we got to AZ the next night ---- we were almost peeing our pants laughing about how I was hanging out the window to get the ice off the windshield wipers on I-70( don 't worry we were only traveling 10 mph and NO other cars were on the road -- we actually plowed our own tracks through fresh snow) We couldn't stop the car though because it was a slight incline!:) I'm laughing just thinking about it!!
Oh I could go on and on and on -- but I think memories are the funniest to me. They keep me going!!

I agree, I could really use more laughing moments. I love your Christmas moment...I could just see you hanging out the car, only becuase I have done something similar.
Laughing is good for us. That's for sure. It is especially good when we can laugh at ouselves. There is something about unlaughable moments, when we look at them in retrospect. Keep smiling and laughing.
OH how I love a good laugh. That's true Angie Smith could always make you laugh and laughed at everything herslf too. Angie are you out there????
Meegz, seriously how is she I haven't seen her in forever.
I would have to say that Emily Anderson is someone that my cheeks hurt when I am with her. Now that girl is halarious!
Let's get her to move up this way!
Agreed -- Emily is HILARIOUS!!
That was great fun to read. It reminded me of the many funny things I have seen or done. Let's just say that I can sympathize with Philip, only my story involved glass.
Oh my gosh Candice -- I just remembered one of the funniest ones -- You and Stephen, Snowmobiling -- "LIGHT!!!" Oh man that was hilarious!!
Interesting that i was just thinking of the same topic tonight. It's the fourth night that Clint has been gone and he is MY source of laughter. I don't think I've laughed much since he left on Saturday and I miss laughing! I read somewhere that we need to go for the belly laugh as often as possible. What do you think about the cackle??:)
Personally, I enjoy a good snort now and again!:)
