Summer Update

Garrett and his  Boy Scout troop had an overnight camp out at Lake Mead where they earned the watersports and motor boating merit badges.  He had no trouble getting up on a wakeboard and loved this campout.

Garrett also got to take advantage of his dad's job and got to shoot handguns at Del Webb.  This course is called the scholastic steel challenge and Garrett did great.

Libbie loves pink flamingos so we took the kids the the Flamingo habitat downtown.

We went to watch a play the other night at Spring Mountain State Park.  While we were waiting we took a small tour of the old ranchhouse.  Here is Libbie outside of the ranchhouse.  We will be going back to see the rest of the park.  It was very nice and different than the rest of the valley.
Garrett and his friends went to the St. George Temple and did baptisms this Friday.  On Saturday they hiked the narrows in Zion national park.  I will post pictures of that troop soon.  Proud of our boy.

I'm so glad all of you are enjoying the summer days. The kids seem to be happily involved in many things. We wish we we a little closer so we could catch a glimpse at least once in a while.
We love to see what you are all up to.

Love you all forever,

Grandpa Bart

You are finding all kind of new
places to go in Henderson. The kids
are growing up and taller so fast.
They always have a happy smile so
I know they are happy and love
where they are. School will be
starting soon and you will be in
another new schedule and time for
each of them to be a different
places, but I know you are organized and can handle anything.
You and Philip are good parents
and you love to do things with your
family together, such a blessing.

Have a good school year and hope
your Relief Society calling will
go smoothly for you.

Love Iris
