Garrett and his troop mates attended Kimball Scout Reservation for Scout Camp this year. I was lucky enough to go with him for the whole week.
Here is Garrett playing basketball in the pool. He also earned the lifesaving merit badge and saved his dad's life (I played the role of the drowning victim for him)
Garrett was elected to be the Chaplains aid in our troop. Here he is starting off the interfaith ceremony for the entire camp.
Shotgun was Garrett's favorite merit badge. He did real well and can't wait until he can get his own gun.
We did a 7 mile hike to the top of fortress peak and stayed until it got dark. You could see the whole city come to life. It was a great view and the boys did great. We hiked down in the dark. It was well worth it.
Here are our boys headed down the trail at dusk.
This is a picture of our campsite
This is one of the new buildings that I have been working on at camp. It has made a huge difference for our camp.
Garrett ended up with Shotgun, Rifle, Lifesaving, Wilderness Survival, and Archery merit badges.
