Mt View

When we first got to Layton for the wedding we headed to our old stomping grounds, Mt. View Elementary.   It was their field day so we showed up for the games.  Garrett was thrilled to find a table full of friends - all of which were about a foot shorter than him still.  They were all laughing at how much they had changed in just a  year and a half.
Gavin was lucky to find a bunch of his friends too.  Here are two neighborhood buddies, Traveler and Xander.  Gav was proud to say he is a bit taller too.:)

Libbie, of course, found friends but I must have been chatting too because I didn't snap any photos.

It was a bittersweet day for all of us.  It was such a comfortable nice feeling to be where we knew more people than we didn't and many were so kind and friendly.  It's still hard to not know people very well but it still feels right to be here in Henderson.  When we got home, we were glad to call it just that....HOME.

Oh, this makes me so nostalgic because I know this feeling all too well (having moved as much as I have over my life). It is hard to leave behind good friends, but you were meant to spread yourselves around, I'm sure of that. I'm happy you came back and it felt good to call it "home.' Knowing you are here makes me feel at home, too. :)
