I have decided that living as close as we do to the coast and loving the coast as much as I do- there really should be no reason that we don't go as often as we can. Of course there are always reasons like: school, work, sports, church, money- you know, silly stuff like that.;)
Anyway, it's been tough to get back here but we finally got to sneak in a super quick trip to San Diego.

**Edit: As per the comments on this post I'm thinking I made it seem like we live a hop, skip and a jump from the coast.:) Let me explain....for a girl who grew up living about an hour from the coast, then moved about 12+ hours away for about 20 years. Living 4-5 hours from the beach is heaven! I guess it's my version of a hop, skip and a jump!:)
Here's Libbie with San Diegos own Mr Silverman.
We went on a informative and fun harbor tour.
This is just cool- I don't care who you are. I've never seen a cart escalator before. Very cool!
After fun at the beach on Coronado Island ( no pics) we stopped to play in the park.
We are ready for more tomorrow!

Glad you can enjoy life and each other.
We love you forever,
Grandpa Bart
I love San Diego, especially Coronado Island! That cart escalator is way cool! :)
How fun! How close is San Diego anyway? No fair!
Um, San Diego and the coast are not really THAT close to you? :) I guess closer than before. Are you there right now? Or is this post old? You could always stop by our place on your way back... especially if you need a pool party to attend on the 4th. Just saying, we're having a pool party and the food is ALWAYS good around these parts.
Listen Ms. Kimmy:) 4-5 hours is mighty close considering I have been in UTAH for 20 years.:)
And as for the pool party -- we couldn't squeeze it in this time -- but I'd LOVE to stop and visit one of these times. Philip is out of town all summer so we only had 2 1/2 days to get there and get back while he was home.
I think we went to that same Target while we were in San Diego because I remember thinking the cart escalator was awesome too! Looks like you had a fun trip and I'm jealous you're that close to the coast!
Did you go to Mission Beach? If so did you like it? TTYL...
