Well guess what...I do have family members with cancer. My friends are my family and far too many of them have it. I just got an update that one of my "pseudo Mom's" from when I lived in CA is getting more sick. I'm so glad she had a great year last year but now she's suffering more. It pulls at my heart strings...hard.
My other friend just stopped by our house the other day and that made me happy to see her having fun with her family but it doesn't make me happy that she has to be sick and uncomfortable everyday of her life.
My step-Mom died of cancer 3 years ago -- that has turned our world upside down...even if we are farther out on the ripple effects...we still feel the ripple.
I could go on and on but I won't -- Once again, I know I"m not the one physically suffering -- I know that. But gosh is stinks! That's all I'll say.

I've had 2 sisters and an Aunt with
cancer, 1 sister died and my aunt
also. My Dad also died of cancer.
We don't get to pick the trials in
our lives I know. The Lord said
"I didn't say it would be easy, but
I said it would be worth it." These
trials can either break us or make
us. It is hard to see others suffer
and can't do anything for them to
make them well. I'm grateful for
a Savior who will comfort us and
love us, sorry about your friend.
Cancer does suck!!!!
