(the whole purpose of this post was to show pics of our walk..but i can't get them to download..soon, very soon there will be pics attached)
Yesterday I found this great walking trail just behind our house. It's just a trail that weaves through out the housing developments, but it's great because there is no traffic and I only saw about 3 people so it was very quiet. So today I asked everyone else to come -- I ended up dragging Philip and Libbie was excited to go for a scooter ride. (I'm pretty sure she didn't realize it would be a four mile scooter ride) It was so beautiful. Now remember, we are living in the desert -- the dirty, yucky, barren desert. But when I was walking yesterday I didn't see much of the dirt. I saw the sun (something I need in my life), I saw the hills, felt the crisp air, smelled the fresh air and enjoyed being out. Today was much of the same -- only better because I had Philip and Libbie with me. Libbie was such fun company to have -- she was positive and kept saying "I'm the little engine that could -- I think I can, I think I can..." Then right toward the end of the walk she yells "viva las vegas - I love winter here!" So my point is -- the desert (where nothing has been planted ) is really not very pretty -- but really "it's all in how you look at it" because we saw a lot of beauty today as we explored our new home. We are happy to be here!
