it's all in how you look at it

As a follow up to last night -- let it be known, that I tried so darn hard to watch that movie.  I snuggled right in with Garrett, I tickled his back, I took care of the others with what they needed....then I fell asleep.:(  My only saving grace was that no one made it to the end of the movie.  We are all so exhausted!  Maybe I"ll make it through the next one?

(the whole purpose of this post was to show pics of our walk..but i can't get them to download..soon, very soon there will be pics attached)
Yesterday I found this great walking trail just behind our house.  It's just a trail that weaves through out the housing developments, but it's great because there is no traffic and I only saw about 3 people so it was very quiet.  So today I asked everyone else to come -- I ended up dragging Philip and Libbie was excited to go for a scooter ride.  (I'm pretty sure she didn't realize it would be a four mile scooter ride)  It was so beautiful.  Now remember, we are living in the desert -- the dirty, yucky, barren desert.  But when I was walking yesterday I didn't see much of the dirt.  I saw the sun (something I need in my life), I saw the hills, felt the crisp air, smelled the fresh air and enjoyed being out.  Today was much of the same -- only better because I had Philip and Libbie with me.  Libbie was such fun company to have -- she was positive and kept saying "I'm the little engine that could -- I think I can, I think I can..."  Then right toward the end of the walk she yells "viva las vegas - I love winter here!"
So my point is -- the desert (where nothing has been planted ) is really not very pretty -- but really "it's all in how you look at it" because we saw a lot of beauty today as we explored our new home.  We are happy to be here!
