Libbie's backyard carnival!

I kindof love having a girl! It's fun to do things for her that make her happy, a happy that I understand. I know that wrestling makes boys happy but I sure don't understand. Philip didn't understand this one...but I did!:)

For her 7th Birthday we got to throw her a backyard carnival party. We decided to do it at the scout office's backyard because ours wouldn't be big enough for the huge bounce house we rented. Um yeah, that didn't work out...the bounce house ended up being about 5 x 5. Just big enough for our three year old invitee! After I calmed down about that...the party was a hit! (and the kids loved the teeny bounce house anyway)

We had several booths including: Face painting, penny toss, bean bag toss, fishing, starburst drop and a cupcake walk. I was lucky enough to have several neighbor girls and my awesome neices, Megan and Maddie there to help run all of the booths. Thanks guys!my cool friend Maddie running the cake walkGarrett trying hard to get a cupcake
Sweet Tori helping with the penny tossAmber got those kids in line at the fishing booth

Cute Megan loved paining their faces

Amongst the fun we had hotdogs, cotton candy and tons of prizes for all of the booths. 20 kids and three hours later we all had a blast!

Megan loved painting faces so much she had to do mine! Can you see the craziness in my eyes after a party like that? :) So fun!!

That was a great party! I still LOL about the bounce house, I will never forget Tanner's comment:

Tanner: Um, did she rent it from the shire?

They did love the bounce house and their fun Aunt! You are a good mom.

What a cool mom you are! Libbie will never forget! I swear I remember all the craziness of tiny bounce houses more than anything that ran smoothly from my childhood.
