One Cool Mom..or so they say

I had one of the best birthdays this year. I was showered with cards and gifts -- both my favorite kind -- hand made!

This is a card from Libbie. The front is above and it says "Happy b-day Mom. I like you because you are cool" The back is below and it is a picture of she and I.

Below is a card from Garrett. It is a comic of Garrett arguing with his friends about who is the coolest. The title of the comic is "cool mom" and Garrett says" She's my Mom" and his friends say "She's cooler than my mom" "mine too!"

I was sick most of the day but I did end up getting out of bed and out the door by about 1 PM. Philip and I went to lunch and to buy me some shoes. Two pairs of nice flip flops.:) I usually buy the $2.50 pair at Old Navy -- I sprung for the big time comfy flipees this year. When we got home I was surprised with not one but THREE plates of brownies on my bed waiting for me. You remember that talent of Gavins...making brownies...well he put that talent to good use and made me a yummy gift. Of course, no birthday is complete without gummy bears and Dr. Pepper. As my treat finale...some neighborhood girls brought me a nice card and twix. I love it when they break in and leave me a twix!:)

I'm trying to learn to take pictures with out closing my eyes so much.Too squinty....

Too creepy.

I kindof look like bugsy off Bed Time stories.:) "Those eyes would be huge on a cow!"
