We took Friday and Saturday to drive down there and the wedding was Saturday night. Sunday morning we headed to the Ranney's for a great brunch hosted by Nelson and Renee. Thanks guys -- we always enjoy spending time with you!

The rest of Sunday and Monday were filled with enjoying whatever sunshine we could find...which was lots. The weather was in the high 60's -- plenty warm enough for this family to head to the heated pool! It was so great (once again, no pics -- so I'm waiting on Paige to send me some)

After the pool on Sunday Papa Bruce surprised us with Pizza -- Yummo for the boys! I ended up spending the evening sewing, since I was so behind when we left I took everything with me. We kept sending the kids outside every chance we got. We all needed our fill of Vitamin D.

Monday, Philip and I headed to Tempe Camera to see if they would like to buy my straps to sell in their store. Yippee, they do! The blessings just keep on keeping on. After, Paige and Marty headed home -- so good to see you guys. Kenna got her fill of our kids and counts her blessings she only has one!:) Ahhh, the joy of kids.
Kenna, Libbie, Elle and I headed to Ulta, a make-up store. I decided I needed to fix my face, once and for all. I hope it worked because, in my opinion, I spent a lot of money! No really, I do like what they gave me. Apparently, just soap and some eye shadow doesn't cut it when you have rosacia, dry skin and acne. Who knew? :) Well, Patrick from Ulta did -- yup you heard me Patrick -- man that boy had the best skin and face I'd ever seen...I had to believe him.:)

The best part of the trip to Ulta, was that Libbie got her ears pierced!!! She has been cleaning and turning those things ever since. Thanks to Aunt Kenna for suggesting it and holding her hand -- she's THRILLED!
Later, we all headed on a short hike in the neighborhood

....and then to Lynda's(Papa Bruce's friend) house for a nice dinner. The kids roasted hot dogs and we had some awesome grilled pork with a raspberry chipotle sauce...delicious! It was a very nice evening.

Tuesday --- we slowly rolled out of bed, not excited to go at all. The kids and Philip decided to head to the heiroglyph hike while I finished up some camera straps.

Sadly, we pulled out of town at about 2 PM -- Flagstaff was only 2 hours away and that means cold...we quickly decided we couldn't leave the warmth that fast, so we headed home through -- you guessed it...Vegas, baby!:) We were all thrilled that the cold would come the next day -- instead of two hours away.
We all headed out to the lazy river and hot tub this morning at 9 AM in 43 degree weather. Once again, nothing stopping us from soaking up the sun -- it was actually really nice. Of course, the locals thought we were crazy....but we had fun. Check out was at noon and we had to make the most of it.:)

What a great drive home -- Vegas, St. George -- and finally snow in Cedar City.
Home is cold and sad, but our silver lining is that Pixie was here waiting for us. Thanks Larsons for watching her!!!

Looks like fun! I am jealous.
ohh I can't wait for Spring Break!
Man, looking at all that sunshine and the coat-less kids made me realize how much I am DONE with winter! Glad you guys had a good trip!
I am so glad that you guys got to go to the wedding!! I hope it was perfect! :) I am pretty dang jealous as we are freezing our cans off!!! I think we need to see some of Philip's moves! I smiled at your kids swimming when it was so cold--that is so our kids. When we travel to warm spots, they will get right in even if it's not warm by the local standards! I hope you post some wedding pics.
Thanks for documenting your time...it was a really great time at the wedding. We had a blast! And even tho I am always amazed at Philip's "dance moves", I do really like to watch him...he's GOOD! He told Clint that you guys dance around the house alot...I think that's so cool! Love you lots...mom
We're glad you had a safe trip. It looks like you kept busy doing mostly fun stuff. Time's are changing. I remember when the only alternative to getting out of the cold in the winter was to come inside and throw another log on the fire. Maybe that's why Philip thought his name was "Get Wood" until he went on his mission. Poor abused child.
We love you all and always,
Grandpa Bart
As for Philip and his dance moves. What was in the punch?
aw come on megan home isn't sad! I'm here! just kidding :) but it is cold.
Here's hoping you brought back some of that sunshine and warmth. I hope the break was just what your family needed. (Although it sounds like you worked a little too much)
