Philip's Day

Happy Birthday to my sweet husband Philip!

We had the chance to get away for a day this year. What a great chance to do absolutely nothing! We headed to our condo yesterday -- even though it was super cold outside, it was super warm inside. We had homemade chicken noodle soup, rolls, popcorn and 3 movies! Philip is a movie and chicken noodle soup fan...so this was perfect.
This morning, we woke(late) ate some cinnamon rolls and OJ - and headed to the outlets to buy him some very much needed clothes. After, we headed to IKEA. I'm not sure about that store. Very cool -- but very big -- almost too big for this non-shopper girl. Anyway, we ended our date with a nice burger from In-n-Out. Who could ask for more...lots of food and rest.:)

A special thanks to Jason, Rene, Dave and Candace for watching our kids. They surely didn't want to come home to us. Gavin asked us tonight if he could have a "double sleepover." I see how we rate.:)

Tonight Philip is enjoying himself by watching movies and playing Wii with his boys.

Happy Birthday to you Philip! We are so lucky to have you in our lives!!!

It was a mighty cold night when Philip joined our family. I remember looking at the thermometer as we headed for the hospital. No kidding, it was minus 40 degrees, but the world has somehow been warmer and better since the day Philip showed up. We appreciate the kind of son he has always been and the kind of person and father he has become. We are proud of you and your sweet famuly and wish you many happy returns of your birthday.

Love you always,

Dad

I am glad you had a great day Phil, happy b-day.

We are totally fine with have a double sleep over anytime at our house! It was awesome having them there.

Friday morning, I came down stairs and Gav/Gar were on the stools awaiting their pancake --- I probably embarrassed them, I just remembered the days when my boys did that... I got all teared up and kissed their heads. LOL

They were like---"Um Aunt Rene ... your weird"

Love them. Libbie gave me snuggles.

Thanks for letting them stay. We love you ALL

You have In-N-Out in Layton now??? I'm coming for a visit! I was thinking maybe the reason Phil's mom loves him so much is because he was born in December before Christmas so she didn't have to be 9 months pregnant in the summer or during Christmas...but then I read Bart's comment...I don't know about the 40 below thing! You're a great guy Phil...thanks for joining our family!
