Last night we headed down to Salt Lake to see what this was all about. It was GREAT! The boys got to go out on the field, line up and introduce themselves to the crowd: "I'm Gavin Eborn and I play catcher", and then run out to that position on the Bees field. Soon after, they were joined by the Bee's player that played that position and they stood their during the National Anthem. When the Bee's started playing, the boys (and their Dad) got about a 40 minute tour of the whole stadium, dugout, batting cages and all. All three of them loved it.

A lot of times we don't stay for the whole game, but this night was different, so we stayed. First of all, SLC killed Sacramento and second, towards the end of the game a player ran over to the wall, called Libbie down (we were in the 5th row) and gave her a game ball. Man was she excited. She had been complaining that she didn't like baseball games so I said "I bet now you like baseball games, you got a ball" She says "yeah and for FREE!" Sooo, we had to wait until the end so that player could sign it for her.

Oh one more thing -- our friends happened to be going to the game as well, so they met us there with some other friends...a great crowd. At the end of the game, our cutie neighbor Ethan wanted a ball too and Gavin wanted his hat signed. Well, the player that signed Libbie's had to leave really quick to congratulate the other team. Needless to say we had big alligator tears. What's that I hear? The kids can run the bases? Well, who knew. So we all ran down to the field to hopefully clear up the alligator tears. LUCKY for us, there was ONE MORE player in the dug out. He saved our Mom bacon, he signed Ethan's mitt and signed Gavin's hat. The kids all ran the bases AND got Cheez-it's. PHEW -- what a FUN night!!!

Baseball and Eborns just kind of go together. It's good sport and it makes memories. I'm glad your boys had this opportunity and that you were able to share it with them.
