2 in 1 day!

On the way home from Colorado we decided to hit two national parks. This was compliments of Garrett, children with disabilities get a free pass to National Parks for life.

Philip has been wanting to go to Mesa Verde for the past 11 years(since we started making the drive to Durango) We finally decided this would be a good day to hit it. Philip had been when he was a child and wanted to share his fascination for ancient ruins with us. We all enjoyed ourselves...it's pretty amazing to see how people in history lived. I imagine one day people will be amazed at how we live...I wonder if they felt as blessed as we do? I feel very blessed, yet one day others may think I'm not. Hmmm?

I had been to Arches but Philip and the kids had never been. We got there at about 5 PM and it was hotter than hot -- but we enjoyed it. The kids had a great time "bouldering" We walked on a small path called "windows" What a beautiful area of our country.

These parks were a great way to finish our "grateful for our nation" weekend.:)

We loved Mesa Verde when we went last year!! We were worried that Evan would be scared to climb up the ladders, but he did great! So beautiful. And Arches.....another favorite place. Glad you had fun!

I love Arches. We went there back when Jackson was a baby. It is such a fun place to get cool pictures. What an amazing world we live in! Utah truly has it all!!!
