Winter Camping

Philip still gets to go on all of the Scout Campouts -- even the winter ones.:) I'm impressed with his desire to help the boys learn and grow. Thanks for being a great leader honey!

Hey, looks like the leaders stayed with the kids while camping! My dad and several of his friends were ditched by their leader (they were about 16 - responsible enough to camp solo up by Mantua? In the snow?). They ended up burning one of their sleeping bags and hiking out to seek refuge at a little old lady's house. Man, scouting sounds fun!

Winter camps were never my favorite thing though I do rember a couple of them rather well. I hope they all had fun and were safe. Even if they didn't it will make good memories somewhere down the line. A little exageration alwyas helps too.

I wish I could say that looks fun, but... it just doesn't. Sure builds character in those boys though. Way to go Philip!

Can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am for these men who are willing to take the boys out. I'm so happy that the Young Women only camp in the summer!!!!!
