Aquatics, memories and cutie petooties

Garrett had his friend party on Saturday. We went to a local Aquatics Center. Garrett told his Aunt Paige.."I'm not sure where we're going, but since it says Aqua in the name, I'm pretty sure there is water." LOVE that boy!

I finished Baby Elle's quilt today. I guess she's really not a baby anymore, she's 2 1/2 now. WOW! This is her Grandma Maggie memory quilt. I really like how it turned out.

How could I resist?

Apparently I take too many pictures...I left my camera for a while and this is what I found.

I love, love, love the pix. The kids have your "photogenicness" and ability to photograph themselves well too! Keep posting them...grandmas can't get enough! Also love the quotes from Garrett...he is quite the boy...actually reminds me of his Aunt Paige sometimes:)!

K- Megan, I am wanting some Photo Software for Christmas. What Do I want to ask for? Cut pics of those kids, especially Libbie!

It's no wonder I keep telling everyone how cute my grandkids are.
Really good pictures, especially if the kids took them.

Alison, I actually touched these up on photobucket.com today. They have some fun editing stuff you can play with.

I have Photoshop Elements 6.0. (I THINK it was about $80. Photoshop is about $300 I think --- I've heard that for beginners elements is just as good. There is also a program called Lightroom...I know nothing about cost and how to use it --- but I know Shawni and Angie use it alot.
It's important to remember that your software will only make your image as good as the camera that took it. You have to have a good photo to start with.
When I edit pics from Philip's camera they are much better than when I edit my little point and shoots. You might want to ask for a camera before you ask for software. ?? Ideas to think about.

Also, that's why these pics are HUGE -- I am trying to get them to be bigger than blogger uploads them but not as big as I have them now. I don't have enough time to master it -- but I figure I'll keep trying.:) If you click on "direct link" and copy the code into the URL spot on bloggers upload photos from internet -- it will give them to you in whatever size you chose (this is all from photobucket.com)
If anyone has any pointers for me, I'll gladly take them.

I just got some of them to go smaller -- still can't get Gavin's and don't know how/why they changed -- I'll keep working on it.:)

Wow Megan! These pictures look great. I love how you touched them up, especially the one of Libbie with her pink paints and bow. Beautiful!

One site that is really fun, free and REALLY easy to use is www.picnik.com. You can crop, resize, play with color, text etc.
