It' s a Pokemon party. What Mom, seriously, knows what's going on in the world of Pokemon? I sure don't. It doesn't make sense to me and my little brain doesn't want to try to make sense of it.
We did pick up the Charizard Chips last night -- and they had to be "hot and fiery." Good thing I had all three kids with me because they ALL knew this. I had no idea.Wish me luck with the Pokemon Party and the kids who know WAY more than I do about it.:)
Next Month --- Sonic Party for Garrett. Here we go again!**follow-up pics below**
Oops, theirs popped already.
Finally we played "Wrap the Caterpie" You can see how this could make your yard look like it got TP'd. Yeah, it did.:)
They had tons of fun...and truth be told, so did I. Those 24 happy little 6 year old eyes told it all.
LOVE YOU GAV!

I always had a hard time with birthday parties and never did do any "theme" parties like you do...I can't imagine how do it so well. You always worry, but they always come out very successful and I know the kids love them. And look at the memories..not only in their minds, but they have it all documented for posterity!
Good luck!
Caleb is also totally into Pokemon. He is always correcting me on how I pronounce the names. i am still totally clueless. Good luck with the party sounds like it will be hit!
You're so good to go the distance with your kids' parties. It is sure to be a hit and Gavin will always remember it.
Sidenote-
I was at recess duty today and saw a 5th grader sitting alone up against a basketball pole reading a book. A dozen other boys were all close by playing ball, so I wanted to talk to him and see if he was wanting to play or just to acknowledge him. Anyhow, he was reading a seriously thick book that he had just purchased from the book order and he was far more intereseted in it than the ball game. It was a Pokemon book. I decided to look through it with him and just show some interest. WOW! There are hundreds of them- I never knew how many there were. Some kids really get into it, I just am lost. I don't get any of it. I guess it's because I'm a boring adult.
Don't worry about the birthday party. Just invite everyone and let them do what they want to do.
Diversity is such a wonderful thing. Don't forget to take my comments with a grain of salt, or pepto bismal if you'd rather. The party will be great just like the boy it's for and the mom who is doing the planning.
well the party went off without a hitch -- except the SCREAMING of 12 6 adn 7 year olds. WOW, the neighbors were included in the party whether they wanted to be or not.:)
Alison -- YES, there are tons, you know they evolve, which causes the names to be similar but just different enough to get the kids to correct you.:)
Bart - I do take your comments with a grain of salt. I love you no matter what, you know I enjoy a good conversation!:)
Mom -- wish you could have been here to help. I needed 2 more hands.:)
The party is OVER!:)
