It was such a beautiful day today. We woke up, got our chores done, played some video games(a must, since we're only allowed to play for 1 hour on Friday and Saturdays--I say "a must" with sarcasm) and headed out to get some pumpkins.
I thought we could spend some extra time together and outside if we took the hayride and picked out the pumpkins in the field. So off we went.
They really don't love it when I force them to smile with the sun in their eyes. Check out Libbie's freakishly real to life baby. Yikes, it scares be sometimes -- I thought we had a real baby in our cart the other day at the grocery store.
Feeling a little better now that we have our HUGE pumpkins on the trailer. Here's where the heating pad comes in. My lower back has been hurting lately anyway and carrying all four of those mongo pumpkins to the trailer and over the railing put it over the edge. Therefore, I write this as I lay on a heating pad. (It's really much better than my folding chair at my desk anyway:))
Darn sun again -- and baby too. The cute old man driving our tractor told me to get a pumpkin for the baby too. He seriously thought it was real. I thought about it -- after all Dad needs a pumpkin too. My conscience got the best of me. Plus, 4 pumpkins were enough for me to carry.
I think we really need to name that baby so I don't keep calling her "baby" But here she is again -- with the kids too of course.
The very cute little old lady that took our picture was afraid to get to close....I suppose? I really wanted one to prove I was there -- I promise -- I was there!
We had a great time on the hayride and the heating pad isn't all bad either.

It looks like you did have fun...and i think that baby doll is the same one that me and alyssa are so afraid of. Creepy!
I have to laugh about that baby. Elle is afraid of any doll that has eyes that blink. It reminds me of when we spent the night at Kathy Pace's and some of you girls were in the "doll room" and couldnt sleep at night because you were scared of the dolls:)! Glad you made the effort to get out in the sunshine tho...it's so good for all of us! Hope your back gets better! Oh, and let me know about Thanksgiving. I thought you were going to Phx. and the other day I thought you said something about seeing us next month?? We'd really love to have you all if it's going to work, I just thought it was cancelled.
Oh my gosh that background with the mountains and gorgeous fields is breathtaking. Well, the kids and mom are pretty darn cute too! Happy Halloween week!
Fun Day! What a fun place to get pumpkins. We usually grow our own, but this year we nixed that idea- I still need to get some for my kiddos to carve. Where was Phil? Working?
Deborah -- I didn't know that doll creeped you out. how funny, it's creeps me out lots too.
Shawni - the grass is always greener because I'd LOVE to be in AZ right now. I do agree though, this is a beautiful part of the country.
Alison - Philip was at a Youth Campout. It's etiher work, church or us for him. We all prefer the latter.:)
Oh and Mom, Philip and i went back to Kathy Paces house after we were married and i STILL couldn't sleep there -- the collection was even larger and it is SCARY!:)
I know all about hayrides and heating pads, though in a totally different context. Looks like you all had a fun day.
