Halloween Parties

I spent the morning doing everything I procrastinated for Garrett's class party. This included gathering and painting 30 "round" rocks. Libbie and I spent a while painting them. We had a great time. 4 coats of paint later they were pretty orange. One more word to the wise, don't try to get black pipe cleaners anywhere in the State of Utah the day before Halloween. It just isn't gonna happen.

These are the crafts I had Garrett's class make. I'm all about cheap and easy to make. I have a hard time with those "crafts" that kids bring home from school parties that it's obvious they couldn't do it from beginning to end. Remember that pipe cleaner advice? Yeah, this is an albino spider. The kids had rainbow spider legs. It actually turned out great, they used their imaginations.:)
Gavin's friends enjoying the witches brew. The one on the right is his true love. (at least she thinks so.:))
Gavin decorating his cookie. He had a costume but chose not to wear it and be a wrestler instead. He's wearing his North Ridge wrestling shirt.
Cute Maddie and friends playing Halloween Bingo.
Little crafters.
Garrett at Halloween Story time.

Both parties were scheduled for the same time. Gavin's class didn't have enough Mom's so I ended up running back and forth between both parties. At least both boys were happy. This is no costume, just getting all dolled up to go to the babysitter. Now THAT'S cute!

That's a cute idea, but it would be the same thing every year. Lady bugs, bees, or butterflies. It's fun to look back at previous years. I love the pics of the field trip. I wish I had a chance to go on more field trips but with 2 little ones at home, it's hard to get the chance. I'm not sure I want to know what goes on on the bus. What I don't know can't hurt me right? Kayla started to ride it this year and I'm loving not having to go get her. If I saw how bad it was, I might be forced to change my mind. Glad you had fun with Garrett.

That is a great idea to post Halloweens past. I might have to dig out all those pics and post some since this, too, is my "scrapbook". I know of a couple people that have created books from their blogs (one reason I stopped doing slideshows).

Anyways, I'm glad you guys had a fun Halloween. The kids look great and I love the "witches brew" in the black cauldron.

I think you are getting ready for winter by missing the ocean. One day when I have lots of "discretionary" money, I'm going to take you to Hawaii with me...just the two of us. We'll tour all the islands and stay in the nicest places...during the winter! It's cold and threatening to snow here today...probably won't stick tho. kids pix are great...I like the idea and I love Libbie's pose!
