10 years of...

...happiness, sorrow, frustration, light bulb moments, love, anger, excitement
and many, many other emotions.

In the beginning...

However you look at it it's been a roller coaster. I happen to love roller coasters. When we're traveling up, I feel a great anticipation -- we get to the top, I feel excitement and I open my eyes so I can remember the feeling and the view I see from up there. Then we go down, I close my eyes again for fear of what's coming. When we finally stop I only remember the great view from the top and the excited feeling so, of course, I want to do it again.

So it has been with these last 10 years of marriage. I wouldn't be a real person if I told you it was 10 years of bliss, but I'd be a liar if I didn't tell you that I treasure the top of the roller coaster ride-- the excited feelings and the view of where we have to go from there. Out of all of the emotions marriage has brought us -- LOVE has conquered all.

somewhere in the middle...

Philip is my best friend. He's my favorite person to listen and talk to. He's such a wonderful provider for our family. He is one of the greatest Dad's out there. He LOVES to snuggle his kids, reads to them lots, and always plays with them. He has always treated me like a Queen(usually I am very undeserving of this...but sometimes I am a Queen!:)) He always makes me feel secure. He is a selfless man who I am proud to call my husband. Of course, I have to admit, he's pretty darn cute too.

Happy Anniversary Philip. I look forward to many many more years together.
