Tuesday Tell All -- Working Girl

I THINK I finally found a site that gives you ideas for Tuesday Tell All. Once again -- I really don't know what I'm doing but I like the idea of documenting something each Tuesday that will be interesting for history.

THEN

I always thought I wanted to be a career woman. I'd for sure live in the city ( New York, Chicago, San Francisco.) My days would be filled with interesting and exciting things. I'd meet new people, help them with their lives -- and return to my home with a very happy husband and MAYBE 1 child waiting -- clean, calm and sweet as ever.

NOW

Then I met my soul mate, the man of my dreams -- Philip - and my other dreams came crashing down.....he didn't cause them to crash by any means. He was just the doorway to another life -- a life I enjoy much more. I am grateful for my job I have now -- Mother of 3 beautiful and wonderful kids.

To make sure I post my first Tuesday Tell All correctly -- I need to list some previous jobs -- let me see if I can remember them all....

1. Newspaper Delivery Girl for the Tri-Valley Herald in Livermore, CA
2. Served Frozen Yogurt & Homemade sandwiches at Not Just Yogurt in Livermore
3. Worked at some tax agency in Livermore(just for tax season)
4. Worked LOTS for my Mom & Dad to earn extra money (I've always loved $$)
4. Receptionist at Sandia National Laboratories
5. Valet girl at Wente Winery in Livermore
6. Wherehouse (video's and movies) in Sacramento, CA
7. Receptionist at Progressive Plastics in San Louis Obispo, CA
8. UVSC Parking Department in Orem, UT
9. UVSC Police Dispatch
10. Durango Area Chamber of Commerce in Durango, CO
11. Nanny in Chappaqua, NY
12. Nanny in Draper, UT
13. USU Dispatch in Logan, UT
14. Receptionist at Lundahl Instruments in Logan, UT
15. I TRIED I really TRIED to work at Convergys in Logan -- I lasted 5 days!:)
16. Business Manager at Camp Bartlett(I had to add this one, I conveniently forgot about it -- but Philip reminded me!:))
17. Somewhere in here I earned my degree at USU in Community Health Education.
18. Various contracted jobs with Weber County Health Department dealing with Injury Prevention.
19. Piano teacher (8 years)

There you have it --- my resume for being a Mom is long and extensive. I am still wondering if I should have been hired!:)

I LOVE MY CURRENT JOB!!!

Love it all Meeg...I'm really sleepy and have to go to bed but wanted you to know I read your blog and just am so happy that you are doing this. I'm going to read it again tomorrow. I can't get my home email at work like I used to, hence I spend less time on the computer where you can see me. So happy you are working so hard at being a good mom...it shows! Love you and see you soon...mom

I can so relate to this blog. I too had big dreams of climbing the corporate ladder. But, when my kids came along I started realizing that there are so many more important things. I will go back when they are older, but for now I am going to enjoy where I am in my life. There is a time and a season for everything...
