uncharted territory

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we headed out to Denver.  Few knew we were going and those who did know, didn't know why we were going (including our children).  We arrived in Denver and drove 2 hours south to Pueblo where Philip had an interview for a Scout Executive position.  We had known about the interview for about a month.  It was a nerve wracking month to say the least.

After a trip to one of the Scout Camps the day before followed by a social with the other 3 candidates and their spouses, dinner with 2 other couples from the Board, and a 4 hour interview the next day, Philip was chosen by this committee.  We are humbled and excited.  It still seems unreal.

Luckily Philip has a cousin who just moved to Pueblo with her family and they were kind enough to say he could stay with them until we arrive.  He starts work Jan. 15th and the rest of the family will follow the beginning of March.  With out Jessica (his cousin) he may have been sleeping on one of these couches in his new office.:)
