February miscellaneous

Following are just some everyday memories I need to post so my forgetful brain doesn't ... Well, forget.:)

Scriptures with dad on speaker phone while he is away.

This girl despises cleaning her room. We stopped for a photo shoot while trying to accomplish this "awful" task- together.

Nice work wildcat! He has received wildcat of the week each year he has attended wallin.

Seriously!? We found this phone outside Payless shoes- who knew there were still any around? Libbie didn't know how it worked.

After over a year of putting clean dishes away- Garrett is finally taking pride in his work. There might be hope yet!:)

While helping someone move this month we had these giraffes hanging out the window of the truck and me sitting RIGHT NEXT to philip in the truck. It was the ride of his life(me, not so much) I think it's been his dream to get me to sit in the middle without another person in the passenger seat. Goodness!:)

Lots of fun watching the Super Bowl with our dear friends the Zaniewskis!

Gavin worked hard on this book report, this is a cereal box he created with the cereal "big thumbs" He also made a commercial and won his teacher over because at the end of it he sang "I like big thumbs and I cannot lie...". Funny kid!

This is a cute Fathers Day tie that we finally threw out so I had to take a photo if it. Look at those darling little hands!

I'm thankful Libbie is asking me to learn to cook. This is her first chicken pot pie. Homemade crust and all.

We finally got our new carpet since "the flood" on Thursday. We are so excited!!

Good friends having an after school smoothie!

This view as we drive down the hill everyday never disappoints. There are many beautiful sunsets to be seen here and today it was clouds resting on a snow dusted mountain. beautiful!

Garrett putting his best efforts into the youth etiquette dinner he attended. Wow- I have no words!:)

Two happy boys who both won their basketball games. Gavin is learning to be more aggressive under the hoop-- today he showed a lot of improvement. Garrett made 3 three pointers and one other bucket!! Way to go G. This is a great lesson to me that determination(even if it drives your mother crazy sometimes) equals success!!

We are glad you are enjoyng their growing up years. Admitedly, there are challenges, but at least for now you have some measure of control. Besides that, time flies and they will soon be gone. Being empty nester is not nearly so much fun.

Love those kids and their parents too,

Grandpa Bart

Aw, poor Phillip, having to wait for giraffes to make you sit by him!
I'm very impressed by Libby's baking skills. I don't even make homemade crust for my pot pie.
