Dancing through the decades

Our elementary school had a dance a few weeks ago. To be honest I was trying to fly under the radar and have a night of peace and rest. But leave it to their awesome pe coach ( he really is awesome) to teach them all a bunch of fun dances from different time periods so they'd be ready to go. Libbie came bounding through the door one day saying "mom, can you make me a poodle skirt for the dance?"

Thus, we went to the dance.:).

I think philip was out of town, or working and Garrett was busy so at the last minute Gavin decided to come. He looks pretty good for deciding to go 5 min before we left right?

Libbie met up with some friends there but they wanted to play outside most of the time. After a while she said " I'm going inside. I came here to dance and that's exactly what I'm gonna do!" I was not only shocked but oh so proud of her. Her confidence has really grown this past year.

Gavin ended up hanging outside with the other 4th and 5th grade boys(all of which were dressed exactly like him)

All in all we all had a great time. I may have even danced once or twice.

Michele,
Tey totally were hoodlums- I was trying to think of the tactful way to write " I was just glad they weren't smoking out back":)

Where was I? I don't even remember hearing about this--maybe I just threw out the info so as not to be overwhelmed. This must have been happening when I was on drugs. Well, it sure looks like a fun time. Way to go throwing together a poodle skirt and all!
