way late post of a way quick trip

As I said, for the month of December this was my vantage point.  It's a blessing and a curse all at the same time.

This little business of mine was running me in the ground but we didn't want to miss our oldest nephew JT's missionary return talk in Layton, UT.  I sewed until 2 AM on Saturday morning...
Luckily we have this guy to drive us and he drove all morning while the rest of us slept (left Henderson at 2 AM arrived Logan, UT 10 AM)
Of course I didn't get any pictures of the extended family -- but the Cache Valley Mall photo booth was calling our name -- I think this might have been the extend of quality time I got with Libbie all month.

We had a great time in our short visit.  We had an Eborn Family Christmas party Saturday afternoon.  Stayed the night with Grandma and Grandpa Eborn Saturday night.  I think Philip and Gavin even hit a USU basketball game.  Then Sunday we headed down to Layton for JT's talk.  What a great job he did! We were very touched and impressed.  Rene continues to thank us for our sacrifice for coming up -- but just so you know Rene, it was no sacrifice...we really wanted to go!  JT is an awesome example to our children as the rest of you are to all of us.  Thanks for sharing with us even though we were in a bit of a mess.:We stayed Sunday night at the Stones   --a big thanks to them for helping with the sewing assembly line that night...it never stopped!  We count the Stones as family and couldn't have made the trip without seeing them!  We also got to see our house that was all torn up from the wind storm on Dec. 1... lovely to see most of our fence torn up and the backside of our roof ripped off.  Ah, the joys of weather.
There "happened" to be a cold spell going through while we were there (we know better we've lived there...it's cold a lot!)  Needless to say -- this was a beautiful sight as we traveled South on I-15.

Life is often very busy and even hectic, but we always seem to be able to make time for the things that matter most, family time. We are blessed.

Love you all forever,

Grandpa Bart
