Today...

Today...

...Philip is out of town...boo!
...2 out of 3 kids wet the bed last night (that never happens anymore, they are emotionally spent!)
...I realized how glad I am that we have the guarantee on our mattress cover. The cleaning company will be here tomorrow....1 out of 3 kids called home twice because they were "sick" (once again, emotionally spent)
...I think I officially got all the boxes out of the house and into the garage
...I'm pretty sure some type of explosion happened upstairs when those boxes got unpacked because it is messy!
...we all found our clothes (both uniform and play clothes) AND shoes...it was quite a miracle
...Garrett had a couple of friends over...yeah!
...I finally remembered to put lunch money on their account
...I got my 3? or 4? mile walk in
...I sent out five straps (that's an accomplishment these days)
...I realized that I can leave Target parking lot at 2:25, park at home and walk back to the school by 2:50 (yeah, school's out at 2:45 -- I lost track of time and we seem to be about 20 minutes from most stores)
...no one has cried about leaving their friends...yet
...we had a family night on Wallin Elementary School rules and how to use/clean the bathroom properly (I thought the subjects complimented each other quite nicely???) Okay really, I was just trying to get in the two most important subjects in our home this week.:)
...today my kids helped each other with their homework, showed love for each other, played well together and showed love for me!!

TODAY was a good day!

I'm glad you had a good day. You and your family will adjust to the new surroundings and environment. The one thing they will always be able to rely on is that they will be loved at home.

Love you all and always,

Grandpa Bart

It's fun to hear how things are going and always amazing what being emotionally drained will do to a person. I'm glad only 2 of the 3 wet their beds :) This post totally reminded me to put money in Kenzie's lunch account too- thanks!

WOW! You got all the boxes into the garage and found all your clothes??!! You are moving at a good clip. My wardrobe boxes are still sitting in the living room. It's been a week since we got them, but I have spent three days this week trying to get my car out of the port. Today....I'm emotionally spent! Thanks for sharing...you are doing great!
