Life doesn't seem real around here lately. We have accepted a position with the BSA in the Las Vegas Council. We've always known we would move one day - and now that "one day" is here. It's strange really -- we have such a love for the friends we have here.
Our children attend a great school with great teachers and staff. We have the best ward and Bishopric anyone could ask for. If I need a cup of sugar or an egg -- I have about 15 people I could run and get one from and they wouldn't bat an eye. Our cousins are right up the street and have always kept an eye on our kids at school. We have a great dentist, doctor, orthodontist, hair stylist...why would we give that ALL up??
The honest answer right now is....we're not sure. But -- we have fasted and prayed about this opportunity and we are very excited for a new adventure with our family. We are excited to make new friends and keep our old friends. We are excited to do lots of missionary work. We are excited to be warm in the winter and hot in the summer. We are excited to only be 4 hours from the beach! Most of all we are excited for the growth we will experience as we learn new things and have new experiences.
We will miss our friends and family dearly. Right now, I am just trying to stay positive to help the kids get through the transition.

This is going to be a GREAT opportunity for Philip too...both professionally and personally. Moving is certainly a challenge but looked at as mostly an opportunity only good things will result. We are of course very excited for you guys too:)!
I agree wtih Mimi, and the only 4 hours from the Beach? Now that is something.

Oh, I know exactly how you feel right now....really! What an adventure you are on. It the time where you are excited and overwhelmed all at the same time. At least you are just 6 hours away from your last move...that will help a lot. Thanks for sharing it with us. You are going to do wonderful things in Las Vegas. Congrats to Philip and to you.
