I love their Dad

I have the best kids ever! Ever, I tell you! Philip has been gone this past week and they have been awesome.
They know I struggle with mornings, so they've been bringing the scriptures in to my room so we can have prayer and scripture in the mornings. I love that our children have a bit more armour when they walk out that door for school in the mornings due to family scripture and prayer.

Mid-week, Gavin said to me "Mom, I'm trying to be super good because I don't want you to have to say to us, "Listen kids, there are three of you and only one of me, I need help" Hmmm, you'd think I'd said that before or something. Apparently, it's effective.:)

To top off the week, my kids just brought me breakfast in bed. They were, by far, the best cold eggo waffles with too much syrup I've ever tasted! My heart is full (and my tummy too:))

This week I was supposed to be in Dallas with Philip -- this is a big deal because I'm not usually invited on business trips so the trips I am invited on I get pretty excited to spend time with him. I was so sad when I found out that it was scheduled right on top of one of the most important weeks of school. Libbie had her Kindergarten Graduation, Gavin had his second grade end of year celebration program and Garrett had his piano recital. When I found that out, it was a no brainer, I was staying home with my cuties.

Philip told me last night that he had the opportunity to shake hands/hug our prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and tell him he loved him. He said it was by far the highlight of his trip. These pics are blurry because that prophet of ours is on the move with LOTS of work to do...no slowing down for pics.:) I was so excited for him and felt happy for him, but I have to say, I still believe I got the better end of the deal. Watching Garrett, Gavin and Libbie in their performances puts a smile on my face from ear to ear. (more pics to come on those events..my darn computer is slow at uploading lately and I don't have extra uploading time lately)

I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for these awesome kids, their kindness and especially their wonderful Dad because that's where they get it from. He has brought me breakfast in bed more times than I can count. He serves us in so many ways and so well.

I love those kids...and man I love their Dad!

Can I borrow your kids for a few days? Mine have not been on their best behavior as of late. Luckily their Dad has.

You do have such a wonderful family! :) That is so amazing that Phil got to meet the prophet. I can't imagine how cool that would be!

What a neat experience to meet the prophet! So where was your husband at to be able to meet him?

By the way, I've been meaning to ask if you went to the Livermore reunion?

If you can be with the Prophet during while you're at work, that's a good sign you have a worthwhile job. Great blessing come as you follow the prophet.

Wow, I'm totally impressed with the kids and the fact that Phil got to meet the Prophet! What a deal! Be sure to post other pix eventually ok? Maybe they'll give me breakfast in bed while they're down here (if they come)??
