~this is an a re-post from November 2008~
I have been working on these twin quilts for our boys beds for quite a while now. They are made out of their Grandma Maggie's capris, denim, dockers etc. I quilted on the seams of the large squares and then tied them in the centers. One is tied in red and the other in blue to be able to tell them apart. The pockets are my favorite part and I'm pretty sure they will be the boys favorite part too. They'll be a great place to hide those teeth for the tooth fairy!
These quilts are filled with memories from Maggie and they have helped me to create my own memory of making something worthwhile for our boys.
They'll be a great Christmas present this year -- shhh.:)

When do you find the time??? They are so cute!
I gained a bit of weight making these:) --- I had to cut out my morning workouts for a while.;) These were my boys christmas gifts last year.:)
Gorgeous! You have a wonderful talent girl!
You have become quite the seamstress. The boys will love
those quilts. Saturday was very nice, I'm glad we could be there.
Love, Grandma Iris
I'm confused- they were/ are a Christmas gift? I thought they had them already. I remember you showing me. I love them. They are similar to the ones I made my boys. They are in need of new ones. I will have to find the time one day ( ya , right) ! :)
No, you are #525. Glad you put on boys' quilts...they are unique and so practible...which I love!
Still can't figure out how to post comment on Etsy site...can you tell me? Too lazy to go back to hotmail....
