A little background....
Tuesday AM I was super busy getting ready for day 2 of my first Photography Trade Show, nerves, no sleep, raw hands from sewing(okay maybe that's going too far...but it was all a blur) except this part. Little Libbie woke up and came downstairs to my "sewing studio" to hang out...like she does when I'm sewing.
**remember, she was pretending all of this**
First, she has a fabric store where she is saying "How much do you want? .... Okay, I'll sell you a 1/2 a yard of this fabric" Then she'd proceed to cut some fabric and hand it to her dolly customers.
Later, I see her going in and out of the laundry room and calling it her home - her elevator home. (I guess the sliding pocket door makes it an elevator home?)
Finally, she says...okay Mom, now it's Sunday. We can't work on Sundays. So she runs to the dress up box, gets out a dress and says we're going to church now. Next thing I know she has the microphone(iron cord), scriptures(sewing kit) and a can of soup(visual aid). She says "What does this(soup) remind you of? (waits for answer) YES, you are right...it reminds us of Christ when he was on the cross! Okay, let's read our Book of Mormon -- and it came to pass....."
(this is her congregation)
My camera straps didn't seem so important anymore and I stopped sewing to snap a few pictures. She isn't one to want to be in the spotlight but she humored me.She is so fun to hang around -- we've been going to the shipping store so much lately that today she wrote the owner a note -- it said something like: "To the shipping store man. thank you for helping my Mom."
Finally, here's a picture she drew in church on Sunday. Yep, it's an aerial view of all of us in church. We DO have blue fabric on the benches.:) She even labeled Dad up on the stand..along with Rob, Bishop and P-r-a-s-i-d-i-d(President) Love.:)

Glad you have your girl to keep the craziness at bay sometimes. So glad you got the chance to enjoy the moment! Her imagination is fabulous.
She is adorable! Look how good you are doing. Seriously, that is a great story.
You are so fortunate to have girl like Libbie. She is really using her imagination in all the right ways. Not much of Dennis the Menice in her.
Love you all,
Grandpa Bart
what a little doll! How lucky
you are to have her to make your
life so fun. It is good to have an
imagination and to use it. Love her lots.
Love Grandma, Iris
So cute. I am really glad you took time to document this. I swear I can't remember a week ago what cute things my kids were doing! :)
I hope your trade show went well!!!!
I love that girl too!! So glad I got to spend a little time with her this summer and when I was up there. Maybe next summer (if she wants to come??) we'll have more time with just the two of us! I have to say tho that her imagination reminds me of you girls when you were little. You all went through times like that. But I think I only got one pix:(
That is adorable! What a cutie pie!
SO HILARIOUS!! That is always what a can of soup reminds me of. They are so funny at this age when they have such imaginations. Don't want them to grow up!!
