Twas the night before school starts...Eborn style

Twas the night before school starts, in the Eborn Family,
Everyone was preparing, all working happily.

The lunches were made, by the kids themselves this time,
No juice to be found, luckily they thought water would be just fine.

The backpacks were hung in the garage on their hooks,
They had all their school supplies, just waiting for books.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of friends danced in their heads(except Libbie, she was nervous & had nightmares)

Mom & Dad were so excited the children didn't give them any moans,
They settled down for a re-run of Bones.

We woke to a double alarm, thought we'd sleep through the one;
Philip hurried downstairs to make some pancake fun.

He never let's them go to school on cereal;
Who does that? Now let's be real! (Megan does when he's out of town:))

Megan was thrilled the house was clean from the night before,
All they had to do was dress, eat, brush, read, pray and head for the door.

No more pictures they all said --
We have a great day for us ahead!!!

Pretty excited to be in 4th grade.
Super excited to go to 2nd grade!

Thinking Kindergarten will be okay, once she gets there

She's there and she's still wondering if it's gonna be good

None of them could wait to get on the bus..I couldn't even get a picture of Garrett

I'm not sure if he was tired and hot or sad to come home:)

She made it...with her best buddy at her side.:)

What a great poem! My day was a little more hectic - hopefully we will get better with time! Love the pictures of those cute kids!

Move over Longfellow, or was it Clement Moore? Great poem, cute kids and lots of fun times ahead.

Love you all,

Grandpa Bart
