how bout this one?

I am sitting here chatting with Garrett -- as we're talking he proceeds to open the back door, and pee! Yes, he peed on the back porch while I'm standing right there. Any sympathy yet? :)

Really, I think they're darling -- but I gotta write this stuff down. Peeing on the back porch, REALLY!

I have had my kids (boys) do the same thing--I just stand in amazement--hard to believe! So, yes, much sypathy.

What's up with your kids and their chose of location for this deed. First Gavin chooses to do it ALL OVER my bathroom floor and walls- and Garrett on your back porch. Maybe they need a tour of the proper facilities!

Really though- whose kids haven't done this? Mine haven't- they are perfect- Yeah right! They are boys and they think it's okay to whip it out whenver and wherever.

Our last house was a townhouse with a long set of steps to the house. Under these steps was a little area which my kids rouinely dug and peed in. It's a boy thing. The closet was also another favorite of theirs. What can we expect when we take them camping and tell them it's ok?

I'm glad my boy is not the only one who does that :) Heck, I wish it were that easy for me when I had to pee :) (Didn't Freud have something to say about that?)

Now this is something I haven't experienced. I can't even get Kayla to pee in a lake let alone on the back porch. Funny stuff. I read down your blog. Sounds like you had a good Christmas. I also love the post about your "little piece of Chaos". I'm glad to know that there is other chaos in other homes besides our and we only have one to get ready for school. I sympathize with Libbie, or rather Savannah does. It's a life time before Kayla and Dad are back home for her. I am trying desperately to not Yell amid all the chaos. Because then Kayla starts off the day on the wrong foot and I don't want her to have a bad day at school. Thanks for the Christmas card. Your family is beautiful.

Oh Alison -- I don't dare tell you all the places that have been peed on in my house(in the middle of the night) It truly worries me.:) It's good therapy for me -- that's what kids are, right? Therapy.:)

and Julie yes, both of our kids were potty trained at camp -- and we taught them to pee outside all the time. We caught Gavin peeing on the large camp flag pole one time. Talk about embarrassing!

I remember when Will was about three and we had returned from a camping trip...I looked out the kitchen window into the back yard and he was squatting with his pants down...he honestly thought it was the thing to do because we had done it in the woods camping. And I'm not even going into the peeing thing...it's too gross!

anyway, my brothers find it very amusing to do it in the back yard. plenty of sympathy.
