Sun Hills Ward Campout

I have such great memories of ward camp outs when I was growing up. I am a huge proponent of ward camp outs. I think this is the 3rd year we've had a camp out in this ward and it was the best yet. There were over 100 people there and lots of fun was had. I'm sure they will continue to get better each year.

Our family helped to entertain the group by singing Yogi Bear. I'm pretty sure we were on the "Thindy Bear" part. :)

After the entertainment we all sat around the campfire, roasted marshmallows and chatted.

The next morning after breakfast, we all headed to a field to play games. Maysen and Libbie got to be good friends.

After games the "roughing it" ended and we headed up the hill to a fun swimming pool.

I don't know what is going on here, but I'm pretty sure it'll be good blackmail for later.

Of course, Libbie Lou and Kendra are hanging out in the pool.

We really do have a great ward family. We are blessed to have many friends around us...all of which we could ask a favor at any time and receive help.(which we've done many times) Friends are the best!

Something about a campfire that brings out the best and the real in people. I'm glad you do it and had a great time.

I agree with you Bart...campfires are the best and I feel like it is a great time to talk to people.
Megan how funny...I just posted about our ward campout too. They really are fun and it is so great to see everyone in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Where did you guys go?

This was our first ward campout in this ward and we had so much fun. The singing was great, tho' Adam will never live down the 'opera style'.

I'm jealous of your and Angie's ward campouts. We don't have them around here. It looks like a lot of fun.

How fun! I bet that was one dirty pool. We were in charge of the ward campout this spring and my kids were filthy! I did all of the cooking so I can't say as though it was fun and relaxing but maybe it will be next time! Your family is so much fun. I think that we should organize a family campout next spring/fall (where everyone is in charge of cooking their own food of course).
