We always have a lot of fun at Family Camp each year. Trapper Trails Council and many wonderful volunteers put on a week long camp with Wood Badge training, NYLT Summit Training and programs for spouses and children(including nursery - WOW!)
This year I was a Troop Guide again for Wood Badge, Philip oversees the whole program and the kids have the time of their lives!
Some of my Wood Badge experience
My favorite 6 year old and I
Gavin just ate it up. He said it was better than Disneyland!
Garrett dressed up for a skit
Watch out everyone -- he's tough!
Gavin built a paddle boat --- this is his class -- checking to see if they work:)
It must have been fun -- we rarely see this smile.:)
Brothers having FUN!

We'll have to try it one year! It looks like a great time for the family!
Something about being at camp that brings ou the best smiles and great memorable times. Recently I went to be the priesthood advisor at our stake girl's camp. We sat around the fire and talked for hours. I don't think I have that in me in any other setting. This was with people with whom my usual conversation has been something Like: "Hello Sister So and So. Good to see you. Is everybody in your family doing alright?" Reply:
"Ya were fine. How about you and yours?" "Doing well." End of conversation. At camp we could have talked for hours about all kinds of things and did. I loved it. Something about a fire and no phones, I beleive.
These pictures bring back SOOO many memories of all the summers I spent at camp as a kid- truly some of the best summers of my life! I love that your kids are getting those same memories!

I was missing you this morning and remembered these pix so I logged on to see you, Phil and the kids again. Just looks like you are all enjoying life! I really like the one of you and Gavin. I need you to tell me how (if possible) I can get these on my computer so I can print some of them! Love you so much, mom
My husband came home from University of Scouting today ready to take us all to Woodbadge family camp. I'm a little concerned though. My 8 and 6-year-olds would probably be fine, but I have a very shy 4-year-old, a slightly clingy 2-year-old and I will have twin 8-month-olds. Is family camp doable for us? I also worry that we will never see each other and it won't be much of a family vacation. Do the classes take up the whole day? What do you do at family camp when you're not in class?
