Feeling loved tag

I think that everybody needs to feel like they are loved, so I am doing this tag. Here are the rules.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is most memorable. If you don't have a blog and don't know how to sign in, please comment as anonymous.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you... either on your blog, in my comment box.

3. If the memory happens to involve my husband, please include him!

4. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all ☺

Okay, let's see what you've got!

Megan..I have so many fun memories with you over the past 12 years! One of them which I laugh about now because it is SO me is going to aerobic with you and Tara and who knows who else and after about five minutes of that crap aI went and laid down in the corner and waited for the class to end. You were always a dedicated aerobic girl picking up at early hours of the morn.
I have GREAT memories of us hanging out at the guys house! I do NOT want post to the whole world but I will say Rachel from our singles ward... remember playing cards and BBQ with Matt, Philip and Justins? Chillin' with Kenna....and the tercel.
Our girls night in Park City?
But my most treasured memory of you is Last year helping through the whole Mela. You KNOW what Nan Baker has to say about that! You cleaning out my garage....I could go on forever!
One more thing...I wish Angie Smith still lived here because I loved getting together with the two of you..the two of you together was the best!
I love You!

AHHH - i LOVED all of that too --and especially being there with my MELA friend!!:) I was trying to remember what kind of car that was -- I was thinking "little brown thing" :) Love you!!

those were good days, but they were not the good old days. We are living those right now, except when I am gone all the time. I have been thinking about Matt lately and all the fun we had together. I wonder what he is up to. Anyway I will see you soon honey.
Love
Philip

I also have TONS of memories...I think I've known you longer than anyone else! But one of my favs was when we went to Chicago together to the Jazzercise convention when you were in High School. I really enjoyed just "hanging out", eating and laughing and sightseeing with you! Another great memory for me is our family sitting around the dinner table listening to your renditions of your activities...you always put on a great show and made us laugh! There's lots more, like you vacuuming IMMEDIATELY after the day care kids left EVERY day, coming in and asking my opinion of what you had picked out to wear the next day to school EVERY day, watching you water ski so beautifully, watching you water ski not so beautifully, having Larry Howard tell me he didn't think a girl could look like a Ranney but you did, you making me watch "Terminator" when I didn't want to and I liked it!, etc. etc. Love you always and forever! Mom

how funny MOm -- I don't remember terminator --- but all of the others I do.:) You'll have to read my Loads of Love post re: you. It has memories too -- after I posted I thought about sitting around the dinner table chatting. It may lead to poor eating habits -- but more importantly -- I leads to GOOD MEMORIES!!:) I'll take the latter anyday!:) I LOVE YOU TOO MOM.

You and Philip were the greatest neighbors and the greatest friends to us while we were living in Logan on Stirling Place. My sister is living in that condo now and we went and visited her and slept in that old condo. It brought back a flood of memories of those "good ol days" there. I loved being able to just nock on the door and talk- about anything. You guys were and are so easy to talk to and so easy to be around. You're wonderful people and you guys helped to shape the kind of people that we are today. We love the Eborns!!

Watching Terminator occurred when you were going to school in Sacramento and living with Lynn. You convinced me that I had to sit down and watch it even though I REALLY didn't think it was my kind of movie! Sometimes you kids had to force me to have a little fun!

MEMORIES...I don't know which one to pick. We have a TON, too! Your jeep in h.s. I loved that thing! One from college that I LOVE though & I don't know if you'll remember is one night just you & me went to Taco Bell (of all places--probably bec we were poor & only needed like $2 to eat ALOT) we sat there & made a list of all the things we wanted to do in our lives. I still have that list in one of my journals. It has both yours & my writing on it. I've actually looked at it over the years several times & been proud to mark off some of the things we listed. I loved those kind of nights with you! Definetly memorable for me!!

I also remember seeing you in preschool and wondering if you were "the" megan! I always thought Gavin was such a great boy! And I do remember that afternoon at Carol's, but have no idea what it was called! Popcorn chicken is one of the very few reasons I go to Wal-mart, that was also the year that they had slushees there that you could just pay for at the door! Ok, so I guess we share the same memories of each other! (I really like your header, too!)

It was the first or second Sunday in this ward and I was in Primary, trying to help Hunter with the transition. (you know) And you came up and sat behind me and told me about Garrett. You were so excited that I was there and made me feel so welcome. I knew in that moment that we had moved to the right place.

I remember giving you a hard time about all the time you spent blogging and I unintentionally hurt your feelings. I just couldn't see how someone could do it so much. But after started one myself I wanted to say thank you for your example. I know that my children will appreciate this work and effort that I am now doing. I do need to regulate when I work on it and use my time with my children first and foremost. I try to do it after their bedtime or before they wake up. Sometimes, I do quickly check it during the day and it is fun for my kids to see what their cousins are up to. Thank you Megan. This was probably a little bad and good. I hope that you have forgiven me for being so hard on you. You really are an inspiration. Love you! Alison

meegz said...

aw thanks alison -- yes, I my feelings were hurt. But no worries.:)

well...You are the first one!

You are the first Eborn to comment on my good memories post. I was beginning to think "hmm, Eborn's must not have any good memories of me" Since yours was kindof good and kindof bad....does that mean there's only one kindof good memory of me in the Eborn Fam??

Yep, you guys know me -- saying it like it is! Well I love you all -- no matta!:)

Alison, I remember when the christmas party was at your house and what a GREAT job you did. Mostly I liked that you took the time and effort to have the familiy be together for more than a few hours. Thanks for that!

Audrey, I remember having you over -- and chatting upstairs for a LONG time about husbands -- you know, the good, the bad.:) When we realized the baby monitor was on and Brady and Philip heard our whole conversation!!!OOPS!:)
I remember when you were tryint to tie that part back on your car wtih a sweatshirt string!???!:)
but mostly I remember what WONDERFUL people you were to us -- ARE to us!! WE learned from you guys -- we love you too!!

Julie --
I remember being a bit psycotic about hearing you talk to Hunters teacher about him. I was stalking you until I could talk to you!:) How sad am I?? I was soooo excited to have you around. and still am!:) Thanks -- and thanks for helping Garrett tonight -- it really doesn't go unnoticed. Even if I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off.:)

meegz said...

and Alison, OF COURSE i forgive you!:) we sistahs!! We just gotta say it like it is -- my neighbor called me a blog snob the other day -- I had to set her straight.:) Don't worry, her husband started a blog 2 days ago.:)

SO I wanted to get back on here and post my memories with Philip since I knew him before you Meegz. He is so much of my Utah state years and I wanted to reminisce a bit.
Philip...not Phil, You are right those were the good days. Weslo...I remember hearing about Philip Eborn before I even met you. I remember your big blue truck that we all loved, your nice cush job at weslo while we all worked our !@$%*& off.
One of my all time favorite trips was rafting down the Oneida river. I remember my raft kept needing to be pumped up and I remember jumping off that huge rock. It is such a good memory in my mind that I have always wanted to take Jake and the kids there. Oh, and I remember that huge yellow snake at the end that I think Matt poked with a stick..Eww.
Playing cards at your little house with Jutsin and Matt. AND I just remember always laughing when Matt was around. I really wish that he lived near here he was such a great guy and the two of you together = FUN!
Tony's Grove camp out trip was so fun too. We still laugh about that "lost tiger!"
BUT my all time favorite memory is Bloominton Lake! That was so so fun. I didn't do that rope swing but I jumped off the cliff and it was so awesome. I still have pictures of that trip.
I think you were able to know us through the little white house on the corner, the ghetto house on the boulevard, and finally the big white house that we all loved!
Good times PHilip, you and Megan are awesome and I'm gald our kids will have some memories together too.

Meegz
Okay, I am still laughing about Audrey and you with the baby monitor. I can just see Philip sitting there listening and laughing his head off that he "got" ya. (hopefully he was laughing)
It makes me laugh when people make comments about blogging (usually it's people that DON'T blog). I am glad you set it straight to your neighbor. It is a GREAT thing to do in moderation. This is most of our journals. I would never ask someone to come over and read my journal but with this you share your feelings of Motherhood and create better friendships. I have made some great new BFF's just through blogging and I am grateful because their comments are my support and love that I need as a Mom day to day.And let's face it we ALL have times where we blog while our kids are yanking for our attention.
So here's my two cents for what it is worth.
I love that your father in law comments on almost every post of yours Megan, he is such a great father in law. Your kids will read this one day and be able to tell the love everyone has for you. You have to be one of the most well loved people I know.
I think this is officially my longest comments ever!

Jamie--i can't remember when I FIRST met you. But i remember shopping in park city. --- you were a riot -- trying to find the RIGHT pair of jeans...was a miserable experience for all of us.:)
I also remember you at Angie's Christmas party, baby blessing -- and the best part of my memories -- you were ALWAYS nice and welcoming. LOVE that! I'll have to chat with ang to see when you're coming.

Angie I remember that raft trip very well. That raft you and Matt were in folded like a taco over that little waterfall and I can still remember the look on your face. That was funny. We need to go camping there as families later this summer.

The first thing that comes to mind is that night walking home from Jo's house in Fort Frances. It had just rained and we had just had a really rough appointment, when all those hubcaps started flying everywhere anytime cars went over this one pothole....or something like that...I just remember how hilarious it seemed, those puddy muddles...something happens to my memory after 15 or so years...of course Kenny and Jo, their kids, those great people! And Bill and Charlotte, his conversion, and those other people...it has been a while...Dinner at Sister Ericksons, stuffing desert in our pockets...the Ashfords, flying to Chicago to see Kenny and Jo sealed to their family in the temple...being at your wedding...our latest mission reunion...all good!
