I think some of Philip's favorite things to do with the kids are: play baseball, wrestle, watch movies and last but probably his most favorite -- snuggle for an afternoon nap.

To make sure I keep it real here -- I have to say I can't stand taking naps. I always think I'm going to miss something or I won't get enough done. So, of course, I think that no one else in my family should take naps either. I left Philip with the kids for an hour this afternoon and this is what I came home to. They really are cute -- even if they're not being (my kind of )"productive."
**edit** The above paragraph is meant to be sarcastic -- I am really just envious!

too bad you don't listen to your body more. When you need a nap, you need a nap.
Look at that bonding Libbie and I did.
Love
Philip
I agree with Megan- Naps just delay what I need to get done- but if you have an oppurtunity to get some of that sweet snuggling in- seize it! Our bodies really do know how to tell us when it's time to rest- we just need to listen sometimes so that we aren't "forced" to rest. Good for you Phil- cute dad!
All together now...Ahhhh! That is so sweet.I'm right there with you Philip. I LOVE naps. Actually I'm heading there right now.
Philip and Libbie, One like that is the best sort of productive and that is not meant to be sarcastic.
Those kind of moments last forever in a child's(yes abd in a dad's)
heart.
Love ya'll,
Grandpa Bart
I totally agree with you Bart...moments like that will live with the child forever! And naps are great...however, I have a hard time taking them too..not because I'm afraid I'll miss something or I'm worried about my productivity so much as that I just can't make myself go to sleep till nighttime usually...sometimes in front of the tv it works for me! Meg...love the fly post!
PS Megan...when you get cranky, you need a nap...words of wisdom from the woman who raised you!
I am with you Megan, napping (and even sleeping) makes me feel like I am wasting time. But after a while I start to realize that I am doing everything so much more slowly than if I had been getting the right amount of sleep. It's a catch 22 I guess.
I always can seem to take naps 'on accident.' You know, you're laying with the kids trying to get them down. You model good napping behavior, and ZZZZZ. It happens! :) I saw your mom today @ Kristine's. Maybe Jan can help Kristine get organized because I am too short of patience to do it (I need to repent alot!).
Have a good time in Nashville, ah
the sunny South. Wish I was with
you, then I could slip down to
Atlanta and see my sisters. Oh well
maybe another time. Be careful
and say your prayers for safety.
Love
Iris
Thank goodnes s for Bart..I was wondering where you were.!
Miss You!
I'm with Phillip on this one, I love taking naps, I always figure that whatever I have to get done will be waiting for me when I wake up. Plus it gives me more energy and patience to deal with my kids. Ryan would love it if Annika would bond with him like that. She is not a snuggler, I think its because she has too much energy to sit still for that long.
Love you guys!
Sam
